Happy Birthday Ellie!

Today is Elliot's birthday. What an amazing year it has been. I feel like Elliot is a precious gift that was given to us at a time when we really needed it.  She is a perfect example of beauty from chaos.  Her personality lights up a room. Her little wrinkle nosed grins make complete strangers smile. She is so loved by so many and we are so grateful for her.  God is pretty amazing. Here are some pictures from her party tonight.

Christmas Train

I'm no sure how many people buy tickets to the Christmas train, drive an hour and a half to Adair, OK in order for their children to have a magnificent experience and end up coming home without ever riding the train.  We are those people.  The four year old decided to have a meltdown tonight, so needless to say, everybody lost.  Here are some pics from before the meltdown, it was a cool place.  Chris and I decided that we won't be able to take LP to Disney until she is about 22.  She will still enjoy it at that age, right?

It's Holiday season and we are super busy, but I wanted to take a minute to write a few things down that are happening.  Leighton thinks its hilarious when I pick her up from school to sit and act like she doesn't know me.  The kids say, "Leighton, your mommy's here!"  She responds:  "That's not my mommy."  She even keeps a straight face.  It's great humor.  Silly girl. 

Elliot Claire walks through the house saying ellie-ellie-ellie-ellie-ellie. Her personality has really blossomed over the past couple months. She has such a sweet spirit and she is such a blessing to our little family. She loves her daddy too. True daddy's girl. I'm grateful that Chris has her. He didn't get to experience that with LP.
